Mario A. Marsans

Mario A. Marsans has a BA degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. It is there where he took his very first poetry class and unknowingly began writing his book, Clarity.

It was not his intention to pursue his writing of poetry but several life changing events which occurred after graduating would alter his path. Mario began to write more poetry as events in his life began to get darker and more complicated. The future he envisioned and worked so hard for was no longer attainable. The hardest part for Mario was accepting that he was the reason that his dream failed and that he had to adjust to a new path and find a way to forgive himself. This is when his journey for spiritual light and clarity began.

Mario used his faith to guide him through his darkness and allowed himself to take a leap of faith. With his family and friends by his side, he continued to write poetry and use it as a compass that led him in the right direction. Along his new path, he began to see the light in the distance and used the blessings that he acquired along the way to shape his poetry and his faith. The more he understood what the journey meant for him, the brighter the light became. Now, Mario is happily married to his lovely wife and living everyday determined to continue his new path toward Clarity.
